Today we were out in the pool, floating around and doing some scooping in where we can more easily access the stuff that comes floating to the surface, and while we had Angel and Hobgoblin in with us, neith dog was that impressed.
...Let's just say that when in the pool Angel has a tendency to shiver and cling.
So, when Maxx was about done and was getting out, he helped Hobgoblin out of the pool, and then later I handed him Angel to help her out of the pool. She was very happy to get out .... but almost immediately was back at the side of the pool standing up on her hind legs and reaching up as far as she could trying to get back in to be with me.
She actually did this twice today!
Super funny, she doesn't like the pool but she's willing to put up with it to be with her Mummy. Warms my heart!

Dog Days
Today Bosley's Plus locations look to be having a dog adoption day from 11am-3pm, with dogs in from the local SPCA. We met a lovely border collie named Molly, who seemed very sweet but also very timid.
I hope lots of dogs get help finding their forever homes today! Don't forget, you don't need to wait for a special adoption event to find a dog that will melt your heart (or a cat or other pet, too). Visit your local SPCA or even visit their website. Right now there are tonnes of kittens in need of good homes, as we're into "kitten season" a month later than usual with the cooler weather.
I was teasing Maxx the other day when I had the dogs out for a walk down at Swy-a-Lana Lagoon in Maffeo Sutton Park. We had ended up getting Hobgoblin from the Victoria SPCA after a visit to the house from our local Jehovah's Witnesses and my exasperated comment to Maxx that "the next dog we get needs to be a big dog to scare them away!" ... and of course Hobgoblin is a whole 15 lbs little wee doggie! But, the other day at the park I was approached by an elderly lady who asked if she could meet my dogs as she couldn't have any of her own at her home ... and while that may have been true it also turned out to be her way of 'breaking the ice' and striking up a conversation before asking about my religious views and trying to press a Watchtower on me. Once I disentangled myself from the encouter and was in the car, I was texting Maxx right away indicating that we apparently needed a "bigger dog", if we're going to be accosted out in public, now, too!
Visit the Bosleys Plus, visit the SPCA, visit their website ... visit the animals needing permanent loving homes ... and help save a life!
