I posted my recent painting on Facebook as well as here on my blog, looking for feedback. At first all I got were likes, no comments, but when I mentioned that everyone was being too nice with no critiques, a co-worker said she didn't feel she was able to criticize as she can't draw, but that she really liked the colours. Then earlier today, she suggested I do a children's story to go along with the painting, as she just feels like reading to kids when she looks at it. How's that for positive feedback! Now I feel I need to plumb my creativity and do a series of connected paintings on a similar theme, and see if I can actually write a kids book. I could try to get good photos of the paintings and publish it online, perhaps?
Something to mull over!

Rusty
Today I actually did my first painting in well over 8 years. Looks like a kid or beginner did it, I personally think. Acrylic on 8x10 canvas, calling it "Calling the Wind".

November Strawberries ... Noooo!
The other day as Maxx and I were heading out of the house ... I believe for me to go in to work for my in-office day, I noticed that the three strawberries which were almost ripe on my plants HAD BEEN PICKED BY SOMEONE ELSE! Grrr! I was looking forward to having a couple of ripe strawberries in November. Oh, well, I do have a few more coming along, I do believe, as well as a few flowers, although I am not sure if they will produce or if they are giving up the ghost at this point.
"Everbearing" is definitely the name for these strawberries, though! Whoever heard of still getting fresh strawberries from the garden in November?
