It's nice to dream, huh?
On an upbeat note, the 10 hour split shift trial at work has been extended for another 90 days, so that means once this coming four week rotation is through, there's another three to come ... we'll see what happens after that. Doing the ten-hour days does make for a long day, but at least it gives a third day off for the weekend, and it's so much better doing either split than constantly swapping back and forth between days and nights!
